The challenge
Buying a car is often more than just acquiring a means of transportation—it's about purchasing the potential for experiences and the ability to enhance daily life. It symbolises freedom, adventure, and the opportunity to explore new places. Whether it's road trips with friends, family outings, or simply enjoying the convenience and comfort it offers, a car can significantly enrich one's lifestyle beyond its basic function of getting from point A to point B.
It’s these consumer benefits that put Genuine accessories at the forefront of the Hyundai ownership experience. But how can you convey to car buyers how they will enhance their car purchase?
Traditionally, the automotive industry has relied on photography to showcase available accessories. For the brand, this is costly, time consuming and cumbersome to manage. For the customer, this doesn’t show the full potential of how an accessory can enhance the vehicle, or demonstrate it’s aesthetic and functional benefits
With progressiveness at the forefront of Hyundai’s business, the challenge was posed to look at a solution that will improve this process for both brand and customer, and with the intention of driving an uplift in sales.

By diving into the world of CGI it was determined that the solution would take the shape of an interactive web tool. This innovative tool features a meticulously detailed 3D vehicle model, customisable down to the user's preferred colour and variant. Users can effortlessly select and visualise accessory combinations on their chosen vehicle, viewing them from every angle for an unparalleled immersive experience.
The tool also has the capability to sort by accessory type or price and a customer can learn more about the accessory itself via a details page. When ready they can select their chosen accessory easily from all areas of the tool to then create their basket.
Once finalised this basket is converted into an enquiry that passes straight through to their local dealer via a streamlined check out process. A better experience for the customer and marketer!

There were three key technical components to the build of this interactive accessory tool. These now shape our streamlined process to roll these out across the Hyundai range allowing an efficient go-to-market that is faster and less cumbersome than the traditional photography method.
